Annie Mae Pictou Aquash
letter to Dennis Banks
written from Pine Ridge Reservation
Summer 1975
Dennis,
This is Joanna, or Annie Mae. I am
in need of financial assistance, desperately.
I am not having much success, as
far as providing for myself a way down to
New Mexico. Eddie is having a problem
juggling things around and so I've got
headaches. We are hopefully going to leave
tomorrow--if I get money. But if its
not possible then that's tough luck. But
as ever I love you and if I knew you
were coming into town I would go and see
you. I am looking forward to seeing you
in Farmington. Can you relay message to Iris
whether you can help.
as ever
Joanna
